Privacy Policy

When you complete the assessment on this site, we collect the answers you provide — business details, financial figures, and qualitative information about the business.

If you ask us to email you the full report, we also collect your email address. On that same step you may optionally provide your name and phone number, and you may tick a box indicating that we may contact you about your results. Name, phone number, and that checkbox are all optional: the report is sent on your email address alone, and leaving the box unticked does not prevent you from receiving it.

This information is stored in our database and used to calculate your estimated valuation and deal readiness results, send you the report you requested, and understand general interest in the assessment. If you ticked the contact box, we may also use the details you provided to contact you about your results. We record the date and time you gave that permission. We do not sell your information to third parties.

When an assessment scores highly against our internal criteria, a summary — including any name, email, and phone number you provided, and whether you agreed to be contacted — is emailed to an internal OwnerGauge address so it can be reviewed. This is an internal notification, not a disclosure to any third party.

We keep assessment submissions indefinitely so that reports remain retrievable by their link and so you can compare a later assessment against an earlier one. If you want your submission removed, contact us and we will delete it.

We use third-party service providers to operate this site, including a database provider to store submissions and an email provider to send report emails. These providers process data on our behalf and are not authorized to use it for their own purposes.

When analytics is enabled, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate navigation patterns, interactions, and site usability through tools such as heatmaps and session recordings. Assessment answers, financial inputs, email fields, and generated report content are masked from those recordings. Microsoft may process device and usage data as described in its privacy documentation.

Your report has its own web address containing a long random identifier. That address is not listed anywhere and is not indexed by search engines, but it is not password-protected: anyone who has the link may be able to view the report. Treat it as you would any private document and share it only with people you intend to see it.
